Japan has announced a new policy to build new nuclear power reactors and extend the life of existing reactors beyond 60-years, in a huge push for sustainable green energy over the next decade or so.

On Twitter, CEO and billionaire Elon Musk celebrated the news as it broke from Bloomberg’s energy correspondent in Asia region.

Musk has previously expressed his interest and support for nuclear energy as a major solution to climate change and as an important source fo charging Tesla EV’s.
